So how do we do this?
Almost all of Earth's freshwater ecosystems require urgent attention. As the Climate Crisis continues, additional and unknown impacts will continue to effect these ecosystems. The simplest approach to mitigating future impacts is the most obvious - conserve & protect pristine freshwater ecosystems, improve and enhance degraded freshwater ecosystems, and incorporate ecological thinking into all future design and construction.

From private individuals, companies, communities, municipalities, non-profit organizations, and government agencies, or whether your property or project is small or large, every enhancement or improvement action counts. Working together, we can all benefit from the functions and services that our freshwater ecosystems provide. By enhancing our freshwater ecosystems and changing the way we view and interact with them on a catchment level, we can improve the functions and services, and in addition, help improve ecosystem resilience, freshwater biodiversity, thereby contributing to climate regulation.
